Growing Together at Blossom

A welcoming space for neurodivergent families.

Blossom Autism & Family Collective is a community-rooted nonprofit dedicated to supporting autistic individuals and their loved ones across Western New York. Our journey began with a simple but vital realization: neurodivergent families deserve more than just services—they deserve a true sense of belonging and a collective that honors their unique strengths.

We serve caregivers, children, community partners, and donors who believe in a more inclusive future. By bridging the gap between clinical support and community connection, Blossom provides a safe haven where growth is celebrated and every family feels understood at every stage of their path.

How WE STARTED

Our Story & Our Beginning

Blossom Autism & Family Collective was born from lived experience, professional partnership, and a shared belief that families in Western New York deserve more connected support. As a mother of two daughters with high medical needs and autism/ADHD, Angela McCrorey experienced firsthand how difficult it can be to navigate developmental care, medical co-morbidities, and everyday family life without clear guidance or community support.

As Angela began developing the idea for an educational nonprofit focused on autism, developmental needs, caregiver education, and medical collaboration, Tia Palmer, MS, BCBA-LBA, CBSS, shared her own vision for co-play and family-centered learning opportunities. Because Angela’s daughters were already receiving services through Tia’s practice, Blossom Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy PLLC, the relationship was built on trust, shared values, and a deep understanding of what families truly need.

Together, they imagined something bigger: a nonprofit that could bring these ideas into one collective vision for Western New York. Blossom Autism & Family Collective exists to offer respite for caregivers, meaningful opportunities for children, adolescents, and young adults to socialize and learn, and educational workshops that help families feel more informed, confident, and connected.

With guidance from a growing Clinical Advisory Board, Blossom also aims to expand community education around autism, ADHD, developmental needs, sensory and physical challenges, and often overlooked medical co-morbidities. At its heart, Blossom is working to help make Western New York a more understanding, inclusive, and supportive place for every neurodivergent individual and every family walking this journey.
